Pringle to Custer out and back ride Day 5

Mt. Rushmore in early AM and the weather is great! Nice and cool.
Then rode down to town of Pringle and rode north uphill to Custer, then return ride.
Good weather and home before the rain. Great luck with timing.

Custer South Dakota has around a dozen of these painted buffalo. Here’s one appropriate for the time of year.
There is no shortage of rocks around here. This one seems out of place, like a giant buffalo chip.
Above seen along trail Mickelson trail north of Pringle on the way to Custer SD.
The perfect pond, in the perfect ranch.
The best weather and it did not rain until the ride was over.
Occasional shade was welcome. Again this is a Rail route replaced with great dirt trails.
Trestles along the way are now wooden for light trail users.
Young Bison on this private ranch. Herd looked to be around 30.
