Lots of open space giving a remote feel from the middle of Highlands Ranch.
Sand Creek Park has lots of paved trails and very little dirt trails. Park at Sand Creek Elementary off Dad Clark and University just south of C470.
Heading a bit west down to Northridge park there are some dirt/single tracks but also more paved trails. It’s a very large tract of land and many unmarked trails abound. This is a very close to home trail system that offers a alternative to my usual trails. The scenery with the foothills and mountains in the west is impressive. The rec center at Northridge seemed overly fenced, and locked out. Nothing there to see and do unless you go inside.
