Cherry Creek Trail – Confluence to state park segment #1

This is the northernmost segment of what will be a three segment ride of this long trail. Parked at Kennedy Golf course and rode to the northern terminus at Confluence Park. Great weather but not a great scenic drive. When passing through the trail in town, you ride along Cherry Creek in a wide trench. It hinders the view of the city as you pass through. Took a detour out to explore the parking situation for the performing arts parking lot. Going to a Colorado Symphony Orchestra concert tomorrow.

This is a 22 mile ride and and the legs and joints were complaining but as of this posting on Sunday, the legs feel good and had a short ride stretched out the legs. Better to ride than watch the Broncos get dominated.

Above: The new Confluence Park has some nice features.

Above on the right in Cherry Creek as it flows into the S. Platte at Confluence Park.

Above, Approaching the Convention Center and Performing Arts Pavilion to the right. This is off-trail.
Cherry Creek Shopping Area – tower crane’s in distance. There is no City of Karmiel that I know of. Might be a sister city.
