The Shelf Road goes from Cripple Creek down to Canyon City. Yesterday, I scoped the best section which with views which went for 12 miles one way. In usual fashion I prefer to ride uphill first, then return downhill. It is a white knuckle drive it but much easier to enjoy fully on two wheels.
