Swealter Summer

This summer, seems like more rain, humidity, and swealter for weeks on end. I ride no less than 6 days a week, but recently I have been on local trails and not taking many photos. Attached are the top 10 photos taken at local favorites, Waterton Canyon, Chatfield, and trails around Littleton Colorado.

Twilight and sunsets in most late day rides now that sunset is at 8pm.

Current health is good, now down to 250 and riding feels stronger uphills and faster overall.

I have now an odometer on the mountain bike. Will try some workout focused rides using time to destination as the measure.

Planned next big trip: Dinosaur National Monument in northwest Colorado, then Steamboat Springs in Fall Foliage.

The large Cottonwood trees leave their summer seeds in what looks like snow on the trailside.
Waterton Canyon always has Mountain Sheep to observe.
S Platte River coming down Waterton Canyon.
All trails are exceptionally green in some places.
Panorama looking west from Chatfield State Park.
3 of the 4 ‘regulars’ seen along my local trails.
Dam at the top of Waterton canyon holding back much of Denver’s drinking water. Secured and inaccessible as it should.
Several sheep scrambled down an impossibly steep canyon wall just to say hi.
The fat bike is still the most fun on two wheels.
