Steamboat’s Emerald Mtn Trails – Day 4

This extensive trail system on the south side of Steamboat is on BLM land. A cloudy day with some sprinkles but still very warm. The Morning Gloria trail has 35 switchbacks to the top. The ride down was tons of fun.

Hot springs near down town bubbling up constantly in this park side pool.
Looking eastward over the valley leading up to Rabbit Ears pass in the distant background.
Looking northward, ahead is the Steamboat Ski area.
I did not ride the trail ‘Root Canal’ but it’s a steep one I guess.
Yampa River overpass at Howelson Hill.
Howelson Hill Ski Jump area. Where Olypiads train for the long jump.
Lots of Aspen and ferns on this trail.

I could not pass up a local BMX Park.
