CPW#3 Boyd Lake in Loveland Colorado

Colorado Parks and Wildlife#3 Boyd Lake in Loveland Colorado
Boyd Lake State Park is very close to downtown Loveland. It’s focus is water sports for local residents. I rode the trail passing through quickly and it was rainy at times. After noon, things cleared and I rode through city trails along the Big Thompson River which stopped short of the foothills.

All lakes and rivers are full, not flooded but full. A wonderfully wet season.
Camping at Boyd is really for RV Camping. I’m at the local Days Inn.
The swim beach, Boyd is small and rather urban in feel.
In Loveland, along the southeast trail this is not visible except along the trail.
A segment of Big Thompson River Trail. The only segment with dirt trail. Most is nicely and widely paved.
Big Thompson River. Since the 2013 flood, there are lots of new bridges and features.
It’s a very nice trail and well used.
