Here in Breckenridge Colorado to witness their annual ULLRFEST celebration. At Dec 8th, the town is still ramping up as lifts have only been open a couple of weeks. This turns out to be an event mostly for locals, who turn out for a parade, Bon fire, and an event to have the most people drink a shot of schnapps off of a communal ski. The ski holds the shots like a drink flight at whisky tastings.
I was here to revisit trails in town but in the winter these are marginal for riding the fat bike. The event bursts with people at about 3pm, but at noon there is nobody here. The crowds surprised me as they emerged only when the events started. It was cold and windy but most attendees seemed to have a few shots in them already.
