Cherry Creek Trail – Arapahoe to Parker Segment #2

Found a new trailhead facility not of the maps. Nice! Good weather and warmer than I planned. Rode down to Parker past several parks just passing the Sulphur Gulch Trail. Scoped the segment #3 trailhead which is along Parker Rd, near a not too ugly water treatment pond. Lots of Open Space and single track splits of the main trail which was paved. It was much more scenic than I envisioned. The ride back was slightly downhill and with the wind at my back, it was a much quicker return ride going north. Segment #2 either tomorrow or Turkey Day.

New Trailhead lot and Facilities just off Arapahoe Rd near Parker Road. Beginning of Segment #2. I did ride north a mile to the southern entrance to Cherry Creek Reservoir.
Above under one of the many overpasses. Pity everything is so gloomy. A flooded Cherry Creek would put this area under water.
Passed by an Alpaca ranch. Got lucky with some nearby animals.
Above and below, several photos from a historic farm seen along the way.
Mountains just got over a foot of snow. Ski areas thankful.
Above: example of many areas of sculpted terrain along the Cherry Creek which flows to the North towards downtown Denver.

Above: End of my segment 2. Maybe another day trip to explore this Sulphur Gulch Trail?
