Deadwood SD and Mickelson northern Trail Day 3

Much greener scenery on north side of Black Hills. Deadwood surprised me with a good blend of history,
gambling, and all things motorcycles. Numerous historic structures. Apparently the entire town is a historic site.
The Mickelson trail out of town quickly runs deep into heavily wooded areas, protected land, and lots of deer seen along the way.

Downtown Deadwood was well planned keeping traffic outside these historic downtown streets.
Town takes advantage of the half dozen famous characters of the time when the town was booming.
Surprisingly lush and great trails around Deadwood.
Streams are full. More rain than I am used to.

Impressive stone facade and brick. Many mining towns including Deadwood had fires ravage the town. Rebuilt using brick and stone.
