Deer Creek Park – Jeffco trails are steep, rocky, with no finish. Just plain tough.
I’ve been here twice before, once in the winter on a fat bike (a fail), then half-way up on the mountain bike, and today the goal was to get to the top and try the large loop on the map.
It is a rocky and technical ride up a long trail. Once section actually has stairs and several sections are hike-n-bike for me.
But like most things, the Red Mesa loop trail at the top was awesome and worth the climb. These are lust green mountain areas with occasional great views that open up. Lots of pictures and clear weather in fall was the best.
