CPW#24 North Sterling State Park

Aug 31, 2019 – CPW#24 North Sterling State Park
The most northeast Colorado state park in the eastern plains. A remote location for this water sports based park. The cycling rather limited to a southern shore trail that was interesting as I passed lots of Pelicans and aquatic birds. And cows. and large grasshoppers. I rode very sure my mouth was closed. The ride across the dam was scenic but otherwise not a biking destination. I saw only 2 other riders the entire day.

Furthest Northeast park in the plains.
Overlook from a Rocky bluff
One on the most natural trail segments atop a bluff.
His buddies are up the hill grazing. A lot cooler down by the water.
Southern trailhead to the park. Labor Day weekend and nobody here?
Lots of pelicans visible today across all 3 parks.
Natural outcropping of rock overlooking the dam and lake.
The sole feature at the park. Otherwise plains.
