Navajo State Park CPW#23

Oct 4, 2020 – near the New Mexico border.
Riding the trail late day, was my first sighing of a tarantula on the trail. I could not get a photo but it did make a big impression. It was about 2 inches in size and moving purposefully. Apparently there is down in this part of the state, a couple of weeks in late September where they emerge seasonally and can be found frequently. This is a very remote park and oriented more to boating given the size of the lake.
