Jelm Mountain and Medicine Bow Rail Trail
The destination is Laramie Wyoming and then down to Woods Landing close to Colorado Wyoming state line.
Jelm Mountain is adjacent to the lodging and a towering feature with great views.
At the top of Jelm Mountain is the Infrared Telescope Observatory from the University of Wyoming.
Full disclosure, there was no cycling of Jelm Mtn as it was a long and steep 4 wheel drive trail to the top. There was no attendant I could see yet the observatory ‘door’ was open allowing in rain?
The following day was a 30 mile out and back ride on the Medicine Bow Rail Road Trail. I broke into 2 segments across 2 days allowing a complete ride out and back on this great trail.
