CPW#12 Golden Gate Canyon State Park and Rocky Flats. Today there was smoke in the sky and overcast weather. Probably a good this because as I drive through the main road through the park, it is very vertical. Heavily wooded everywhere and lots of steep vertical trails and roadway access. The mountain bike trails were all labelled moderate to difficult. This would be a great location for hiking but a slight disappointment to me. I opted to ride the trail around Rocky Flats. This posting contains a couple shots of a rainy ride through this remarkable area.
