Dig the Video: https://youtu.be/1lpeOfmwr98 With clouds coming in tonight it’s a lucky day to head home but a stop in Salida is on order. I rode around through town looking at houses, downtown, and the riverfront area.
First I took a ride up the frontside trail going up the cone hill opposite the Arkansas river from downtown. Loads of singletrack trails, dirt jeep roads going farther east. The cone hill dirt road leads up to the giant ‘S’ on the hillside for Salida. A cell tower and hut at the top surely ensure lots of bars. Headed home afterward for a smooth ride and no issues climbing mountain passes.
After I arrived home, I made reservations for the weekend in June for the First In Boating the Arkasas Festival. The FIBark festival looks like the one of a kind event worthy of an early summer vacation.
