Located near Trinidad Colorado, this is the newest OPENed State Park. The entrance way and paved parking area is brand new. No ranger station or park offices at this time. The trails seem to be existing trails and many more could exist in the future. The scenery is awesome with the Iconic Fisher’s Peak at the center of the State Park. Apparently there is only a hiking trail around the mesa like top of the peak. It does appear that technical climbing would be needed to get to the top of the mesa. This park is very close to the New Mexico border and the Raton Pass. I was able to ride a short distance on the new trails. Many trails are for hiking only and not suitable for cycling yet.
